David is the Director of Scotland's only dedicated rabbit rescue charity, Beloved Rabbits.
Operating as a volunteer-led animal rescue organisation, the charity relies on foster carers to temporarily care for unwanted and neglected rabbits whilst new permanent homes are sought.
A small charity of only 80+ volunteers and approximately £60k income per year, David is proud of the charity's highly professional business processes, and digital service focus.
Volunteer meetings are regularly held via Microsoft Teams, all members have access to a cloud-based animal management database, and foster carers manage their expenses and vet payments using a business payment card solution provide by AIO*.
David joined the board of Creative Spark in December 2019.
Creative Spark are a community arts organisation striving to provide classes, workshops and projects to everyone within our community. We want everyone to have the chance to experience the arts and all the benefits that can be had. We hope to connect and engage our community through learning all the arts forms within theatre arts!
David brings his business experience to the team, offering advice on how to gain the best from online and digital technologies, how to govern as an organisation, and exploring the opportunities of fundraising to an organisation that has traditionally focused on membership and activity-led income streams.
Small Business & Charity Consultancy
From website planning, development and implementation through to social media strategies.
From computer product and networking advice to community marketing & publicity plans.
David has helped numerous small businesses, community groups and charities with one-off consultancy and small projects to help further their business or community plans.
Where IT expertise is not readily to hand for these small groups, David is grateful to be in a position to step in and assist when budgets are tight (or non-existent!).
Groups including local childminding businesses, accountancy firms, charities for the elderly and disabled, and local community councils have all benefitted from David's support and advice.
